A friend and myself Door Dashed the fajitas for one. It was plenty and well packed. This is a restaurant that goes unnoticed but, I like it. Great prices

This place is pretty good, and they like adding new food to their menu from time to time.

Today I had the "Mexican burger". Two beef patties, cheese, jalapenos and guacamole. It was delicious.

Free chips and dip to start you off, alcohol or kid friendly drinks are available, limited but tasty snacks to end your meal.

This place is pretty good. Worth checking out.

This little restaurant is hidden away and you could almost miss it.  If you love authentic Mexican cuisine served in perfect sized portions with amazing service, then you clearly don't want to.

All of the food was amazing, and the environment was clean and inviting.  We ordered the enchiladas, while not what I expected had a flavor profile that left my tongue singing and my stomach satisfied.

The refried beans weren't quite as thick as I'd like, but that didn't hurt their flavor or my enjoyment in the slightest.  The Spanish rice was some of the best I've eaten I'm years, and I'm looking forward to making this my regular stop for this cuisine.

I have been a long time customer at El Patron. I used to really love the place. I recently went and was so disappointed.

First, I have to mention that it was recently renovated with some updated decor and there are several TVs for watching sports or what have you. Pleasant Hispanic themed music playing. New seating and granite top tables. The atmosphere is quiet. No complaints there.

We were the ONLY customers in the entire restaurant, and still we waited forever to order. We even had to flag down the waitress and tell her we were ready and she still made us wait while she wiped down the table of some customers who had just left. Mind you, we were the only table in the restaurant, every other table clean besides that one, so I could not understand why she put us off to wipe a dirty table which there was obviously no urgency for. She yelled across the room to anther waiter who was behind the register shuffling some papers....and he didn't come to take our order either. So she finally took our order.

They have obviously changed their ingredients. The ground beef no longer tastes like authentic beef... but more like chili. YES chili. Its greasy and nasty. The hard taco shells are pre-made junk... no longer fresh made in-house like they used to have. VERY stingy portions. One taco I had to take two bites before I finally got meat on my third bite.

The bean dip was ice cold. This is usually served warm. It is cheap ingredients used in this as well. The queso cheese looked like it was possibly made from a powdered mix or something, as it was breaking down and not keeping its creamy constancy.

I was just overall very dissatisfied.

Visiting the NOLA area for the first time and wanted some Mexican food. Found this place and I keep finding myself back here. The food is so flavorful and authentic. I thought it was going to be a Tex-mex type restaurant and the reviews almost stopped me from coming.
This place is truly worth the trip. All the dishes my husband and I have tried are seasoned to perfection!
They have a bar area as well and their 'Micheladas' were delicious with various selections of Mexican beer as well. The margaritas are cold and refreshing.

This is definitely a place someone needs to check out at least once!
The waiters are very polite and welcoming. Might come back to NOLA just for this place!!
